International Conference EVIAP, Oporto 21 and 22 March 2013

The EVIAP I - Earned Value International Advisory Panel Conference held its first conference last year. The conference was a success, because of the great presenters, very good environment, excellent organization and technical strength-in-depth of the  EVIAP panel. We were very happy to have some of the best recognized world leaders in Earned Value Management (EVM) and Project Control taking part in the event.

You can see last year’s conference web site here:

The EVIAP II Conference will be held in Porto, Portugal, Europe’s West coast, on March 21 and 22 2013. You can see further information about Porto (airport code OPO) here:

EVIAP II is being organized in Portugal by the leading Project Management consulting, training and research organization Ambithus and EVIAP, a panel of international experts in project control and EVM. The panel members are recognized experts with international prestige in Project Management in general and EVM in particular.

The list of panel members can be directly accessed at:

The event also has the institutional support of the two largest and most representative associations of project managers in Portugal: PMI Portugal Chapter and APOGEP.

In addition to the speakers, the conference will have space for debate on the future of EVM and Project Control with specialized topics such as measuring the value of projects, risk management, the design of structured models of control and the problems associated with the governance and the control of projects and their deliverables.

There is opportunity to present, discuss and talk, about specific implementations in real world situations. Not only from the tools perspective, but also with "case study" to enrich the perception attendees have about the theme of project control and, of course, EVM.

We are seeking speakers to present Project Control Topics.  They do not have to be about Earned Value, and we are particularly interested in topics that address Project scope, the WBS, Planning and estimating, Schedule maturity, Time analysis and forecasting, Project risk,, Leadership, Teamwork, Problem solving, Challenges and their solution, Effective reporting and communication and Learning from experience.

The presentations have to be in English although to encourage international input preference will be given to speakers from  non-English speaking territories.
